French Advanced Course

Want to polish your speaking skills? To go over useful grammar points? Needing to obtain a language qualification?

VOUS ETES AU BON ENDROIT!

This targets learners of French who have actually covered everything there is to know, but don't feel they have! I aim to refresh and re-explain where necessary and to help those passages between ears, brain and mouth to be more free-flowing.
At this level we explore French Culture and Society,
gaining an understanding of the political and historical events that have shaped
La Belle France!

La Culture
... avec un grand C

Gain insight into French culture and understand the French mindset:

  • Delve into the French sense of humour and explore French films, music, etc.

  • Explore French society:  Follow current affairs and look into the French political system - there is nothing the French love to talk about more!

  • Look into French history and understand the impact and place of religion in French society: The separation of State and Church, Laïcité, etc.

I believe that learning in a small group is the most effective way and helps students realise that they are not alone in their challenges. Working with others albeit online helps with motivation and also makes it more fun. We do learn and laugh a lot!!

Do keep reminding yourself how far you have come with your French, although it may not seem so at times.
