For me, learning in a small group, with people who have roughly the same level of knowledge as myself, is an ideal way to progress in learning French. We encourage each other and laugh at our mistakes together. Jenny ensures that the classes are interesting, challenging yet friendly, and her patience with the group seems endless. We are encouraged to discuss relevant local issues and our own interests, however diverse. Jenny teaches a solid base of the French language to build on and use in our daily lives. I would highly recommend her to you.

I am finding it a pleasure to be learning French in a friendly atmosphere with Jenny Homer. I am in a small group of people where we all have a similar level of competence. Being a small group we all know each other well, support each other, have fun and are not embarrassed if we make a mistake. It also means Jenny can easily see when one or all of us need some further explanation and this helps the group to progress more quickly. Importantly for me, the goal is not to pass some exam but to enable us to converse easily with French people.

I started attending Jenny Homer’s French classes in 2008, not long after my arrival in France.  She worked wonders on my lapsed school-girl French, giving me the confidence to build on what I already had and to integrate in the local community. I particularly appreciated her ability to find interesting and amusing ways of learning, far removed from dry exercises in a textbook.  She is a natural teacher, patient and sensitive to her students’ individual needs and difficulties.  Her encouragement has been invaluable to me.

I moved to Haute-Vienne with basic French which made my transition into French life quite stressful. I was desperate to learn the language fast but none of the local teachers' methods suited my needs. I then met someone at a dinner party who had been attending Jenny's classes for years and praised them with such passion that I had to get in touch with her. I went to the first class and instantly knew I was at the right place. 
Jenny is very patient and knowledgeable but also quirky and hilarious. Her sense of humour, creativity and passion for teaching make her lessons entertaining and easy to absorb. I very much appreciate the fact that her teaching methods focus on practical aspects of communication in everyday life. The weekly classes are also a great opportunity to meet interesting people and exchange ideas, recommendations and experiences. I always leave the class feeling positive and motivated to practise the new knowledge.
